AID STATION, BAG DROPS AND FIRST AID

The Wild Earth ‘Border Bolt’ is a ‘cupless’ event. Participants should carry a vessel for hydration purposes such as a collapsible cup. Participants racing in events 13.5km and longer are required to carry a drinking vessel capable of storing 500ml or more; noting that the distances between aid stations may be as much as 4.5km).

Aid stations will be largely self serve, volunteers will provide assistance where possible.

No provision shall be made for personal nutrition needs.

AID STATIONS

There will be the following aid stations on course:

Aid Station Locations:  

  • Tooloona Park, Tugun – 2.6km in/2.6km to go (all 4 events)  

  • Sawtell Drive, Currumbin – 6.4km in/to go (13km, 22km, 30km events)  

  • Piggabeen Road, Currumbin Valley – 11km in/to go (22km, 30km events)  

  • Bains Road – 15.5km in/to go (31km event)  

Aid stations by event:  

  • 6.6km – 2 opportunities (1 station; visited twice)  

  • 13.5km – 4 opportunities (2 stations, both visited twice)  

  • 22km – 5 opportunities (3 stations, two visited twice)  

  • 31km – 6 opportunities (4 stations, 2 visited twice - note first aid station not open on outward journey)  

Athletes are encouraged to carry their own fluid and fuel if they feel this shall not be sufficient.

FIXX Nutrition will kindly be providing their electrolyte product FUEL X which you can access pre and post run.

BAG DROP

There will be no provision for bag drop at this event. With car parking so convenient, please place your belongings in your own vehicle.

FIRST AID

Qualified first aid shall be on hand for anything minor or more serious and will be located adjacent to the finish chute. Emergency contact numbers should be completed on the back of your race bibs.
Aid shall also be available at the major checkpoints on course.
