TRIPLE CROWN INFORMATION

TRIPLE CROWN INFORMATION

Three (3) events shall comprise the Trail Trips Triple Crown;

• the existing Wild Earth ‘In the Raw’ in Numinbah Valley on Sunday June 9

• the Wild Earth ‘Border Bolt’ on Sunday August 4

• the prestigious Wild Earth ‘Coastal High’ on Saturday August 31

Series Distances

There will be two options in the inaugural Trail Trips Triple Crown; a short course and long course.

1. Short course distances are: In the Raw (15k), Border Bolt (22k) and the Coastal High Crunch (28k).

2. Long course distances are: In the Raw (25k), Border Bolt (31k) and the Coastal High 50 (50k).

Series Categories 

1. Overall Champions & placegetters will be recognised for both Short & Long Series

2. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each age category in both the Short & Long Course Series.

3. The age categories for 2024 are now set. We have taken on feedback and adjusted our offerings. These categories have been determined based on a pro rata system however, the only real way to guarantee success is to be consistent!

• 15-23 M&F

• 24-33 M&F

• 34-41 M&F

• 42-47 M&F

• 48-54 M&F

• 55-64 M&F

• 65+ M&F

Series Scoring

Lowest score wins!

• Your placings at each event in your category shall be accumulated to determine your total score. The higher you place; the lower that number, the better your chances.

• Participation in ALL THREE events is required and runners must race in the same division at each event; i.e. SHORT COURSE or LONG COURSE option at all three events.

• Overall TRIPLE CROWN Champions shall be decided by the lowest accumulative score of OVERALL race placings at each event.

• Overall placegetters at each event shall be counted in the age groups for the purpose of the TRIPLE CROWN categories (in the event that they are not on the podium at each event, they will still be eligible for their age group TRIPLE CROWN)

TRIPLE CROWN Prizes 

Overall Series TRIPLE CROWN (male & Female) shall receive: 

• Champions: $250 Cash +$250 Wild Earth voucher, 50% discount and guaranteed entry to the 2025 Series.

• Runner-Ups: $150 Cash + $150 Wild Earth voucher, 25% discount and guaranteed entry to the 2025 Series.

• Third Place Getters: $100 Cash + $100 Wild Earth voucher, 25% discount and guaranteed entry to the 2025 Series.

Age Champions will receive $50 Wild Earth Vouchers and a 25% discount and guaranteed entry to the 2025 Series.

• Your results will be compiled by our event partners; Sports Event Services.
